Solanis H87C/H88C Replacement PCBs
Project Solanis was developed as an aftermarket replacement solution for existing H87C and H88C boards including Mr. Suit and Frog TKL. A total of 4 variants were created for those that want varying bottom row layouts and those that have flex cut preferences. Special care was taken with the bottom row to ensure support for boards with tight tolerances and reduced case clearance such as the Frog. Additionally, a breakoff USB-C port was provided for that wish to use the PCB with daughterboard-only designs. By popular demand, F12 and F13 compatibility is standard across all variants and both 6.25U and 7U layouts contain support for split-spacebar. The top row of the TKL cluster was flipped to allow support for the “Geon Plateless Kit” in compatible boards. Underglow was provided through an array of miniature addressable RGB LEDs, each with their own power filtering to ensure long runtime and stability.
PCBs were prototyped in Gloss Black, but the final boards will be released in Brilliant White.
